Soda Creek Campground Engagement Session

London and Chandler’s Soda Creek Campground engagement session took place on one of those classic Central Oregon fall evenings that remind you why this area is such a social place. They were visiting Oregon for the week to spend time with family, do some fly fishing, and enjoy a few of the outdoor adventures that make this part of the state so unique. While they were here, they decided it was the perfect opportunity to capture their engagement in a place that felt meaningful to them.

We met in early October, just as the seasons started to shift. The mountains had already picked up their first dusting of snow, creating incredible backdrops for the evening, with South Sisters showing off. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening. One of my favorite things about photographing couples at Soda Creek is how different every session can feel, the landscape truly changes throughout the year, offering different opportunities every time I come back. This location offers wide-open views of the Cascade Range and, depending on the snowmelt that year, either a lot of water or the gorgeous creek running through the landscape.

London and Chandler were so much fun to photograph. They spent the evening laughing together, taking in the scenery, and simply enjoying the experience. Their easygoing personalities made the session feel relaxed from the start, and it was obvious how excited they were to celebrate this season of life together. Their outfit fit the setting perfectly. London wore a stunning, fitted white lace dress with beautiful flared sleeves that moved effortlessly, adding movement to their photos, while Chandler’s textured brown shirt complemented the warm fall tones. The combination felt timeless and natural against the backdrop.

For couples looking for mountain views without a long hike, Soda Creek Campground is one of Central Oregon’s best location for engagement sessions. Located near Bend, only about a 40 min drive, it’s the perfect location just outside of town. It’s definitely one of my favorite locations to offer my couples during the summer and fall.
