Rylee and Wilson engagement session in Lake Crescent was an absolute fall dream. I was traveling to Olympic National Park the week I photographed them in Lake Crescent and we took the opportunity to meet again to photograph their engagement session. It was a last minute decision on their end and I’m so glad we could make it happen. After meeting these two for their proposal back in Bend, we had not decided yet if an engagement session would be in the horizon before their wedding day. Since I was going to be in WA where they are based out of, it just made sense for us to make it happen at a beautiful lake in Olympic National Park. Rylee and Wilson took the opportunity to bring something that represents them to their session, featuring a fun whiskey glass that they made as wedding favors for their guests which was designed by Wilson’s brother. These two got to enjoy a zip of their favorite drink while watching the sunset over the beautiful mountain peeks.
When it comes to Olympic NP there are so many beautiful locations to choose from. From the black sand beaches, the rainforest, waterfalls, river views, mountains top and lakes. The options are indeed endless. We picked the lake for their session as it offers a few of these options in only one location. We got to be by the water and amazing moss trees as well as views over the mountains peeks. What else can you ask for? Lake Crescent is definitely one of my favorite locations within the national park to photograph engagement sessions. Lake Crescent is located along the scenic highway 101 that travers Olympic National Park. It is only 30min from Port Angeles, and about three hours from Seattle.
