When Wes contacted me for his surprise proposal in NYC I was already so excited to photograph them. Both from Little Rock, Arkansas, they never had the chance to visit NYC together yet! New York is such an iconic city for engagement and proposal that looking for the right location can quickly become overwhelming. If you are looking for some proposal ideas in the city here is where you can find some inspirations. For a first trip to NYC together, Wes found the perfect way to make it memorable. Kristen comes to NYC for work a few times a year and she has been asking him to come along on one of her work trips for a while now. After all this time Wes finally decided to go with her and bring along her dream engagement ring!!

I’m very lucky to photograph madly in love couple as a job. I always meet sweet and caring people thanks to my job. But I have to say that people from Arkansas and the South in general, are probably the nicest I have ever met on my US journey. After proposing to Kristen on Pebble beach in Dumbo Brooklyn, I took them around the neighborhood and obviously on the coolest bridge in the city! I had so much fun photographing these two lovebirds and learning about their love story. A proposal is so much fun to photograph, the excitement of newly engaged couples is such a special moment to be part of.
