I had the chance to photograph Kelly and Tony for an epic Couple Session in Sparks Lake, Bend Oregon early this summer. After chatting with Kelly about the location and time of their Sparks Lake couple session I realized Tony is also an amazing wedding photographer. I’m always so excited when I get a chance to meet other creatives but photographing them is even better! These two babes moved out to Bend, Oregon a few years ago from New Mexico with their little family. They have the cutest little girl that I had a chance to meet when we were photographing them. Kelly is also a business owner and owns an amazing Brow Bar and Skincare studio in Bend. A few days after our session I had to go check it out. And let me tell you I never had my eyebrows look this good haha!!! If anyone is looking for a skincare studio in Bend I highly recommend checking Kelly’s website out. Click here!
Sparks Lake, Bend Oregon
Sparks Lakeis part of the Deschutes National Forest located about 25 miles outside of Bend, Oregon. It’s part of the famous Cascades scenic highway that opens from Spring to late Fall. There are a numerous amount of lakes to see in this area and Sparks lake is definitely one of the best. It’s easy to access and fun for a weekend getaway. It offers some of the best views over South Sister, Broken Top, and Mount Bachelor. It makes it the perfect location for elopements, weddings, and engagement photos. Bring a kayak or paddleboard along and you’ll get some fun photos for your engagement photos.
Here are some other locations to check out near Sparks Lake: Todd Lake, Green Lakes, and Devils Lake. Green Lakes was one of my favorite hikes. You can enjoy views over South Sister and Broken Top. You can keep walking along Soda Creek trail to make a loop and get back to the parking lot. From there you’ll have the best views over Mount Bachelor.
