A fun Short Sand Beach engagement session on the Oregon Coast
For their Short Sand Beach engagement session, Marah and Matt brought their cute pup Banjo to tag along and one of their favorite drink to have some fun! We decided to go to Short Sand Beach a bit last minute but I’m so glad we did as it turned out to be such a perfect night on the Oregon Coast.
We started their engagement photos on the way, while walking through the beautiful forest as you have to hike down to the beach to get there. My favorite part of the Oregon Coast is that you get two vibes when photographing, with the amazing trails there are before getting to some of the best beaches in the state. Once on the beach, I let them enjoy their time their with their dog Banjo while sipping some Bourbon. There is no better way to capture some fun moments and tell your story than let you be yourself. We had so much fun hanging out all together and I’m super excited to see them again for their wedding day this summer!
Short Sand Beach is located in Oswald State Park, only about 15min drive south of Cannon Beach and 5min from Manzanita. From Portland it is a short 1,5hr drive to get there. It is such a great location for a fun weekend getaway or day trip to the Oregon Coast. Short Sand Beach is famous to all the surfer in the state and is very popular during the weekend with everybody hanging out on the beach and surfing. There are a few trails to get to the beach but there are all as beautiful than the other.
