Minnewaska State Park, A Winter Wonderland Engagement

When Tara and Matt inquired with me a few months ago we started to talk about the vision they wanted for their engagement session. They both mentioned the outdoors and snow. I was already SO STINKING excited to photograph them even though we hadn’t picked a place yet. Winter is my favorite season and I’m a real kid when the snow shows up! Minnewaska is the perfect place for outdoor lovers who want to escape the craziness of New York City for a weekend! A 2-hour drive and you immediately feel like you are in the wilderness of the West Coast!

I had the chance to meet up with them at their wedding venue Hopewell Valley Vineyards to talk and obviously drink some wine while deciding on where to go for their engagement day. I had been looking on my side for places that matched their vision and when Tara started to talk about Minnewaska, I realized I just picked the same place as they did!!! So on point!!! We were set and so ready to spend an afternoon together. They had been there many times and knowing the place was special to them was a dream for me! Let’s not forget to mention that their cute pup made it with us!

I’m so excited for their September Wedding at the Vineyards. I can’t wait to see what their amazing wedding planner is prepping for them! A big THANK YOU to Tara and Matt for introducing me to the coolest location in the area!
