Yael and Elliot’s wedding at Jacks Barn in Oxford New Jersey was a perfect summer celebration. They are one of my couples who had to postpone their Spring wedding date but they were able to celebrate with their closest friends and family only a few months after.
Jacks Barn is located in Oxford New Jersey and it’s one of the prettiest wedding barns I had a chance to photograph. The variety of decorations inside really makes it a unique venue. Yael mentioned to me when she was getting ready that when she saw the bridal suite she knew she wanted to get married here, it’s exactly what she was looking for. And I totally understand why! With the pandemic happening they had to make a few changes and deal with the fact that some of their family members were not going to make it. They made sure to record it live for the ones that were far away. It did not stop them and their guests to have the best time once the party started! Everybody was so happy to be there for them and finally celebrate their union.
Yael and Elliot met through one of Yael’s best friends and bridesmaid. After dating for about 2.5 years Elliot proposed to Yael by singing his own version of Alanis Morisette “Hand in my pocket” with a ukulele. How cool is this??? By the end of the wedding, the band let Elliot plug his own electric guitar and played along with the band some of his favorite songs for their guests. By the end of the show, Yael joined in and they both sang together the Alanis Morisette song. It was so amazing to see them enjoy their union together on the dancefloor like this!
