A beautiful Fall Trillium Lake Engagement Session

 

For their Trillium Lake Engagement Session Sarah and Simeon wanted to take a piece of Oregon with them before their big move. They could not have picked a better location to represent their time in Oregon than Trillium Lake with amazing views over Mt Hood. It was such a perfect fall evening, with clear sky and the most beautiful reflection on the lake. What I love about Trillium Lake isn’t just the view you get from Mt Hood but also the surroundings. The beautiful and tall trees makes is even more magical.

Sarah and Simeon came to Oregon for work and after a few years of enjoying their time in the beautiful PNW they decided to move back to Colorado where they will be closer to family and friends. And plan their wedding day. I love when couples pick a location to represent or remember a special time in their life.

Trillium Lake is a stunning alpine lake with perfect clear reflections from Mt hood. It is located 1,5hrs drive from Portland and 2hrs from Bend, Oregon. Nestled in the heart of the Cascade Mountains, it is the ideal location for engagement sessions in Oregon. If planning an engagement session at the lake I recommend late Spring through late fall. In the winter the only access to this magical place is hiking or snowshoeing from the parking lot. The perfect winter adventure. Trillium Lake is an amazing location for summer activities as well with, hike, paddle boarding or kayaking on the lake. The few camping sight around the lake makes it ideal for a fun camping weekend.
