Columbia River Gorge Wahclella Falls Engagement Session

It’s about time I share a little more about my trip to Oregon this past January starting with Shelby and Dylen Columbia River Gorge Engagement. When I planned my trip to Oregon there was one area that I didn’t want to miss and it was the Columbia River Gorge. The beauty and diversity of Oregon state are absolutely mind-blowing. Everywhere I’ve had the chance to travel and explore, I always sought for waterfalls. The Columbia River Gorge was the dream location for this.

The day before Shelby and Dylen’s photo session, I went scouting along the river and hiked to a few waterfalls. I obviously stopped by the famous Multnomah Falls, which was way more impressive to see in real life than all the photos I had been seeing. Anyway, for their engagement photos, I decided to take them to the Wahclella Falls and I have to say it really was my favorite one from all of the other waterfalls I had seen that day.

The Wahclella Falls is one of the furthest waterfalls on the Columbia River Gorge scenic highway when driving from Portland. To get to this waterfall you’ll have to hike about 2.5 miles round trip. Quick and easy fun hike and totally worth it! The start of the hike takes you up into the lush green forest of Oregon and back down to the stream passing by a few cute bridges. Along the way, you’ll get quick sneak peeks over the Wahclella falls. And once you’re finally able to see it, it is just absolutely incredible. It makes you feel like you found a secret little spot in the middle of the forest.

Shelby and Dylen were definitely one of the highlights of my Oregon trip. They were one of the sweetest couples I had the chance to hang out with and learn and hear about their story while hiking was my favorite part. These two babes met a few years ago through mutual friends. And let’s say Dylen had to work his way back to Shelby. I love how they were able to find each other again a few years after and for the best.
