Black Butte Ranch Engagement Session

Mary Anne and Dennis Black Butte Ranch engagement session was a stunning night on the Ranch! They chose this location as it was close to Bend, and where they now live. Bend is their new home based so being able to represent some of the gorgeous landscape we have here was important for them.

The evening couldn’t have been more beautiful. We got the chance to have bright blue skies and the most stunning golden light as the sun set over the Cascade Mountain Range. We took advantage of it and were able to walk around the property and do different locations all within walking distance of Black Butte Ranch. I love how you can get a lot of variety around this location from the view over the mountains, the lake, the fields, and if you’re lucky, see the horses too, and the forest, you really get it all in one spot! It was also a quiet evening that day, so we were very lucky to have the place to ourselves and create the best experience for them during their engagement session.

It was also Mary Anne’s birthday that day, so Dennis couldn’t have planned a better time to have their engagement session happen on the same day and be able to celebrate her birthday all in one day! We had such a good time together, they didn’t stop laughing and having so much fun together. I love it when couples can feel themselves, even when being in front of a camera can be intimidating.

Black Butte Ranch is such an iconic wedding venue in Central Oregon, but it is also a stunning location if you’re looking to have engagement photos taken there! The venue does require a heads-up, but we’re usually able to make it work. Being only 10-15 min outside of Sisters and 40 minutes from Bend, it’s super easy to access and will greet you with some of the most stunning views we’re all looking for when visiting Central Oregon!
