A Winter couple session at Mt Bachelor
Kathy and Alex couple session at Mt Bachelor was the best winter session i could have asked for. They traveled from Chicago to Bend, Oregon for a winter getaway and Mt Bachelor ended up being the perfect place for their annual couple session. Every year they choose a new destination to explore together and document their adventures, and this time Kathy dreamed of doing a snowy winter couple session during their ski trip in Central Oregon.
For their couple session at Mt Bachelor we spent the afternoon skiing and snowboarding around the mountain, chasing the best views and best snow across the resort. We were lucky enough to catch some gorgeous views over the iconic three sisters and broken top as it was a cloudy day. in some part of the mountain the trees were frozen and covered of so much snow it was absolutely magical. It felt like a peaceful winter wonderland and created the dreamiest backdrop for some fun ski photos.
One of my favorite spot was shooting under the iconic Red Chair a classic Mt Bachelor landmark that added the perfect pop of color to their snowy session. Kathy had the most incredible energy the entire time, so much laughter, warmth and fun. Photographing them felt effortless. We also made a stop by sunrise lodge to capture them in the snow without their skis. This gave the session a softer, more relaxed vibe and added variety to their final gallery. Perfect for couples wanting both adventurous mountain photos and something a little more simple and intimate.
Winter couple sessions at Mt Bachelor are always breathtaking but Kathy and Alex’s shoot was truly something special. If you’re planning a winter trip to Bend or dreaming of a snowy mountain session, Mt Bachelor is one of the most beautiful locations in the Pacific Northwest.
