Latourell Falls Elopement

Katelynn and De’Mauria traveled to Oregon to exchange their vows privately before heading home for the big celebrations with family and friends. They opted for a location that could not represent the beauty of the Pacific Northwest better. We started with a quick first look surrounded by the majestic falls before they began exchanging their vows. Their words to one another were so emotional and beautifully written—it was an incredibly heartfelt moment. They wanted something quick and simple, so after their vows, we took our time capturing portraits by the waterfall, soaking in the serene surroundings.

I love Latourell Falls as an option for anyone’s elopement. It’s one of the most accessible waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge, located just off the Historic Columbia River Highway, with a paved path that leads directly to the base of the falls. The hike is short and sweet, making it perfect for couples who want the dramatic scenery without a strenuous trek. The waterfall itself drops straight down from a basalt cliff, creating a striking curtain of water surrounded by lush greenery and moss-covered rocks. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can wander closer to the water for an even more immersive experience—just be prepared for a little mist! It’s a location that truly showcases the wild, romantic charm of the Pacific Northwest.
