What a better place than your own neighborhood in Brooklyn to get some portrait taken? I had the chance to photograph these two amazing and talented creatives back in November while attending WRKSHP. Their connection was palpable, the way they looked and interact with each other was so sweet to watch. This is what I’m looking for whenever I have the chance to witness a new season in my couple’s lives. It’s all about the connection and emotions. I loved the way they shared their story with us. From Texas all the way to The City, they made their way through all of the challenges and made one of their biggest dream come true. It’s never easy to move to a new place but they went for it 100% and made it happen.
Brooklyn and Williamsburg are probably my favorite neighborhood in New York. It reminds me of the small community I have back in France. Not as busy as Manhattan, a slower pace with a strong personality. You can find a different vibe at each corner you wander around. So many small shops and restaurants, all with their own identity.
When looking for a place to get your engagement photos in Brooklyn, you will obviously have the option to hit some iconic places like DUMBO. But if you’re looking for the authenticity of New York and especially Brooklyn and Williamsburg, you should just go explore and enjoy the local areas of it. They have so much to offer and I can’t wait to be back for more adventures with some rad couples! What’s your favorite spot in New York?
