A romantic Smith Rock and Cove Palisades elopement
Hanna and Montana’s Smith Rock and Cove Palisades elopement was a dreamy day in Central Oregon. We could not have asked for a more perfect day!
They traveled all the way from Rhodes Island to Oregon with one simple intention, to exchange their vows in a place that felt meaningful and entirely their own. And Central Oregon offered exactly that. Choosing two different locations was a lot of fun to plan with them and I’m glad we were able to fit both for their day.
Earlier that day, before we even began photographing, Hanna and Montana exchanged their vows in complete privacy and made this moment only belong to them. The perfect way to set the tone for the rest of the day and enjoy their time together, unhurried and intentional.
We started the day at Smith Rock State Park, one iconic location in Central Oregon. Rather than staying near the main viewpoints, we hiked put to a more secluded are of the park to give them space and privacy while still taking in the incredible scenery. It was mid-April and we got the absolute best weather condition, big bright blue skies, warm temperatures and gorgeous view across the park. It felt peaceful and intimate.
Hanna looked stunning in a vintage inspired dress that suited the landscape beautifully, she paired it with a long scarf that moved softly in the breeze, bold red nail, the cutest socks and flats that felt practical and true to her style. Montana wore a brown suit that complemented the earthly tones of Central Oregon. I loved how they look against the landscape together.
As the sun dipped lower, we made our way to The Cove Palisades State Park for sunset. The views over the canyon, Lake Billy Chinook and the Cascade Mountains were nothing short of breathtaking. We were so lucky to a clear sky that day and see the entire mountain range. It was the perfect way to end a day built around, intention, connection and soaking it all in together. Choosing images for their elopement was a hard task as there are too many I love…
