Toni and Dylan’s proposal at Trillium Lake was a special morning to remember. There’s something extra magical about being up before everyone else. And Dylan and Toni’s proposal was nothing sort of that. these two had traveled all the way from Florida, road tripping through the Pacific Northwest and hitting some of the most iconic spots along the way.
Trillium Lake in the morning is such a gorgeous place to be to enjoy all the pretty colors changing in the sky and hitting Mt Hood in the background in addition to the perfect calm water mirroring the mountain. Even though it was an early call, Dylan and Toni were buzzing with energy, laughing, joking and soaking in every moment. The best part was how natural it all felt. their joy was contagious and there was no shortage of giggles as Dylan dropped to one knee. Toni’s reaction was pure happiness. It was one of those mornings where time seemed to stand still, the lake perfectly calm, the sunrise putting on a show for us and two people stepping into a new chapter of their lives together. Capturing their love in such a serene yet playful setting was the perfect reflection of who they are.
I loved every second of their proposal at Trilium Lake, it was worth the early morning drive to the lake to capture them.
Trillium Lake is one of Oregon’s most iconic spots, located about an hour and a half from Portland near the town of Government Camp. Nestled at the base of Mount Hood, it offers one of the most iconic views of the peak, especially at sunrise when the mountain reflects in the still water. The lake is easily accessible with a short walk from the parking area, making it a favorite for proposals, engagement sessions, and elopements. While summer and early fall bring warm mornings and calm reflections, it’s also a popular spot for camping, paddle-boarding, and stargazing. If you’re planning a visit, sunrise and sunset are by far the most magical times to experience it.
