Laura and Travis Oregon Coast honeymoon session was an absolute dream. We decided to pick two special locations for their session starting with Hug Point State Park, one of my absolute favorite locations on the Oregon Coast and finished with Cannon Beach for the iconic landscape.
They decided to elope back home and take a trip right after to enjoy their honeymoon. They had settled on traveling the Oregon Coast and took the opportunity to capture some fun memories while traveling to a new place together.
Planning two locations during a session is always a lot of fun, you get to have so much variety in your final images. I always recommend it if the locations are close enough to each others just like the two we picked with only a 10-15min drive between them. Cannon Beach and Hug Point are located on the northern part of the Oregon Coast and both locations offers a lot of variety in their landscape. For the first one I always recommend planning during low tide and sunset as you are able to access all of the beach. Hug Point also has this cute little waterfall flowing directly on the beach. When it comes to Cannon beach, going on a weekday during low season will be the best time to visit and get your photos taken. I love going a little further north with my couples and photograph them in the high grasses along the dunes.
