A Winter elopement in Smith Rock State Park

 

Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Oregon, Smith Rock is the perfect location for a breathtaking elopement backdrop. Zoey and Aaron decided to have a small intimate Winter Smith Rock Elopement with their son, and closest family. We planned their day a few hours before sunset and braved the cold but we were rewarded by such an amazing sunset.

We started their day with their ceremony with a view that probably doesn’t get any better in the Central Oregon desert. What made their exchange of vows truly remarkable was the inclusion of their son, River. Witnessing Zoey and Aaron’s heartfelt promises while having River by their side made the moment even more unforgettable.

Zoey envisioned a boho-winter style for a her day and it was just perfect to compliment the beauty you already find in Smith Rock. She wore a gorgeous wedding dress from Bella Brides in Bend. And her florals were a mix of fresh and dry flowers made by the talented Roots Wild Floral.

We ended up their day walking around Smith Rock to capture their portraits and enjoyed their first moments as husband and wife. We could not have asked for a better winter day in this gorgeous location.

Smith Rock is located only 30 min from Bend, Oregon. Although it is the prime location for all climbers and hikers, it makes for a perfect backdrop for all elopements in Central Oregon. It’s a haven for those seeking natural beauty and an intimate setting. With winding trails that reveal stunning vistas of the crooked river and iconic Monkey Face rock formation, this park becomes an enchanting backdrop for intimate celebrations like elopements.
