A stunning backyard wedding in Salinas California

 

When Bess and Cody reached out to me for their day I was so excited to hear they wanted to have a backyard wedding in Salinas California at Bess’ parents property. I’ve been loving all the backyard weddings lately and they are always so much fun! They kept the tradition going, as Bess’ brother also got married at their parents property in California. I can’t think of a better place to get married! It was the sweetest story to hear that both of them could make it happen there.

Bess and Cody also live in Bend so it was perfect for us to meet up in person and do their engagement photos locally before their backyard wedding in Salinas. When we arrived at her parents property everything was already in place and so well decorated. Her mom and dad had done an amazing job in the garden with so many kind of flowers around the property. It was just absolutely stunning. They also hired a wedding planner to make sure everything was in place, and help their vision come to life. Their wedding vendor team was so on point for everything and all the details were just perfect.

What I loved about their day is that they could have different part of their day spread out around the property so their guests could enjoy all of it. The cocktails hour was facing the amazing views you get from the hills in Salinas where the property is located. And their outdoor reception was next to a barn where the guests could go dance after dinner and party all night.  But what I loved the most about their backyard wedding in Salinas, was to see all the beautiful details and color palette they envisioned for their day come to life. It’s always a lot of fun to see what your couples have been working so hard all year for their big and be able to photograph it all for them. We had a lot of fun capturing Bess and Cody’s wedding.
