Penelope and Eric’s engagement session was a golden hour dream in Yachats, Oregon. These two decided to take me to one of their first date locations on the Oregon Coast for their engagement photos. They remembered exactly where to go and showed me their favorite spots as we chatted and captured them.
We started in between the lava rocks on the beach that created a sort of maze on the beach. We climbed rock after rock and found a quiet spot where we could hang out and capture the best of it. Discovering a new part of the Oregon Coast for their engagement session was truly amazing. As the sunset later on the light created this magical golden light that we all love to photograph and these two babes really got some of the best light that night.
Yachats is located in the center of the Oregon Coast, you’ll find the famous Cape Perpetua nearby as well as the amazing Thor’s well surrounded by the dense forest of Siuslaw National Forest. The landscape is absolutely stunning filled with tons of points of interest to discover. The lava rock in Yachats makes this beach and location unique and fun to explore. Yachats is about 2hrs from Salem and Eugene and 3hrs from Portland. If you plan on visiting make sure to make it a fun little weekend getaway to explore everything around it.
