Puja and Nick wanted to explore Brooklyn a little more and decided to have their engagement session in Brooklyn Dumbo and end on the Brooklyn Bridge. Their Brooklyn Bridge sunset engagement session was absolutely perfect. We got a pretty clear sky that night which gave us the best backdrops for their engagement photos.
How to prep for your engagement session in Brooklyn
Brooklyn is one of the most popular places to get your engagement photos in New York City. There are so many options within Brooklyn itself. One of my couple’s favorites is Dumbo and the Brooklyn Bridge. When planning your engagement photos in Dumbo or the Brooklyn Bridge there are two things to consider. The time of the day and the day itself. The best time to get your engagement photos on the Bridge is at Sunrise. It gives you the opportunity to have the Bridge for yourself and avoid any crowd. It’s absolutely stunning in the morning when the sun starts to rise.
Sunset is a great option for Dumbo engagement photos as well as the Brooklyn Bridge. The sun sets behind the Brooklyn Bridge so when you are in Dumbo you get the best light and results for some epic engagement photos. The Brooklyn Bridge at sunset can be a bit more challenging as there are a lot of people wandering around.
When choosing to have your photos in one of these locations the best time of the week will always be on a weekday.
Best location in Brooklyn for engagement photos
Brooklyn is very popular and choosing the exact location for your engagement photos can be tricky. It’s very pretty everywhere and each neighborhood has its own personality. For mythic views, Dumbo and the Brooklyn Bridge will be your best bet for your engagement photos. If you’re looking for a more quiet feel, Prospect Park, Fort Green and Williamsburg are great options.
