Brooklyn Bridge Engagement Session, Brooklyn Wedding Photographer, New York Wedding Photographer, Williamsburg couple session
I’m so excited to share this couple session in Williamsburg Brooklyn with you all! I had the chance to photograph one of my favorite vendor friends in the city right around Valentine’s day! Marine and I met thanks to the incredible project we worked on this past summer in the South of France. You can check it out here! Marine is an amazing french wedding planner based out of Lyon and serving all of the South of France and more! You can find her at L’Atelier Atypique .
There is one thing I love the most about my job and it’s the relationship I’m able to build with my couples but also all the amazing wedding vendors I have the chance to work with. And Marine was one of them. When she started to plan her trip to NYC with her then-boyfriend Regis (he did something fun. Keep reading) she contacted me right away and asked me if I was available to photograph them. I was so thrilled they were coming and I couldn’t wait to meet Regis and hang out with them in one of my favorite neighborhoods in Brooklyn, Williamsburg. When I go to Williamsburg it’s usually to photograph couples or weddings. And this time I took the full day off to hang out with them discover more small restaurants and shops that Williamsburg offers.
We started the day off Manhattan and took the subway together to Bedford Street one of my favorite in the neighborhood. From there we walked around (a lot) and went from shop to shop and coffee to restaurants to more coffee and treats haha! Once we arrived at the famous Domino Park at the Riverfront, we started to snap a few photos. It was a cold winter weekday so we literally had the entire Domino Park for ourselves! Let me tell you that it was perfect! We were freezing but it was amazing!!! Once we got the photos we wanted we hopped on the ferry to go explore Dumbo together. Marine and Regis wanted their photos on the Bridge so we went and finished our little tour on the Brooklyn Bridge.
During their trip to the city, Regis had a plan in mind all along and it was to ask Marine to be in a domestic/civil partnership with him when they would get back to France. “Ils se sont pacsés!!” It was perfect timing and I’m sure Marine will never forget when he asked!
Keep scrolling to see some of the places we went to and what I highly recommend to everyone visiting Williamsburg, Brooklyn!
There is a lot more to do than what I’m about to share with you. But if this is your first time, here is what I recommend. When you come to visit NYC there are tons of reasons but one of them is because of how impressive the skyline and the city are! (been there haha). We all go to Dumbo because it’s the most iconic place, but if you’re looking for somewhere a bit more local and that feels like the real NYC. YOu should take a trip to Williamsburg! During the week the streets are quiet and during the weekend be ready to get in line for the best restaurants and coffee shops in this neighborhood. Everybody is out hanging out in the parks and just enjoying everything it has to offer! I love this neighborhood so much!
Let me take you to a different neighborhood in Brooklyn that I love to photograph. Click here to see more.
